This morning we left by bus in the city of Beijing. We went to a clinic located in a mall.
First step, measure and weight gain. If we rely on the accuracy of information received two months ago, Sarah Kym seems to have gained weight and grew a little. She finds herself a little below the average growth curves of Asian children, which is good.
A little later, a female doctor examined her. It really a very general discussion. Everything appears to be with our daughter. For his arm, the doctor said that the problem resolves by itself (a few weeks or months) if the nerves were not too affected. That's what we had read about it.
The only thing, and we're not surprised at all, is that Sarah Kym, a language delay. The doctor told us that normally a child of that age should talk more. She suggested we see a specialist when we come back to Canada, which was already in our intentions.
In the afternoon, we hiked in a kind of small horse-drawn carriage driven by a person on a bicycle. It was very pleasant but a bit short as the route.
Tomorrow we normally visit the Great Wall of China and the Jade factory en route.
